The conference - "French cheeses: taste the culture!" by the Chef and cheese monger Philippe Caillouet will present the craftsmanship, story and give advices about the different French cheeses. The chef will offer a complementary cheese tasting in order to blend the knowledge with the taste of the products.
Who is the Chef Philippe Caillouet?
Philippe Caillouet has a career of over 40 years in hospitality and a high connection with artisans.
Caillouet’s career journey spans roles across France, in 2 and 3 Michelin starred restaurants including managing the renowned La Palme d’Or
at Hôtel Martinez in Cannes.
He gained the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France, a recognition for excellence in service craftsmanship.
In 2012, after managing the restaurant La Palme d’Or he opens his cheese shop in south of France. Philippe sold it in 2018 to go to Dubai to
create a cheese atelier for a distribution company. In2024, Philippe is called to create and oversee a cheese cave in Riyadh and
curate hotel cheese program, introducing a new dimension to fine dining in the region.
Collaborating with artisanal producers, Caillouet imported and aged cheeses tailored to local preferences, ensuring quality and precision.
Caillouet is committed to integrating artisanal craftsmanship with innovative service, aligning with the region’s growing appreciation for
elevated culinary experiences. His work reflects a dedication to creating meaningful connections between producers, products and guests,
reinforcing Riyadh’s position as a hub for world-class dining.
In December 2025, Philippe joins the St Regis Hotel via Riyadh, to bring his expertise in service, offer a new cheese experience to the
guests and promote the unique Saudi ingredients.
**The conference will be open to all ages (note that kids must be accompanied by an adult).**
